As a native of northern California Jeff developed a deep appreciation for the diversity of California’s climate and its native plants.  He lived and studied in Japan while he was an undergraduate.  It was in Japan that Jeff experienced the complexity and range of Japan’s native gardens.

Jeff studied Landscape Architecture at ULCA following a career as an Occupational Therapist.  First working with Nancy Goslee Power and Associates in Santa Monica he later started the landscape division at Marmol Radziner and Associates where his projects were awarded national recognition by the American Society of Landscape Architects.  He started Bent Grass in 2004.

Sarita received her Bachelor of Architecture from Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA.

Sarita practiced Architecture and Interior Design before she realized her true love is Landscape Design.

Jeff and Sarita bonded over their love of plants while working at Marmol + Radziner and Associates.  Sarita joined Jeff at Bent Grass in the Spring of 2013.
