OAKLEY

The Oakley Residence is a Mid-Century modern house in Studio City.  The garden design created intimate views from each room of the house.  A security gate was added to the property entrance to improve and clarify the entry sequence.  The existing front yard desert palette was edited and augmented with additional plant material to improve the balance of texture and color.  

The large existing white terrazzo deck was broken down in to more habitable and usable spaces that were re-oriented to take advantage of the valley views.  An outdoor dining area with a shade structure was created as well as a built-in grill and built-in seating area with a fire pit.  

A private garden with an outdoor shower was created for the Master Bedroom and additional garden spaces were created to achieve this goal.
